Congratulatory Message from Foreign Minister Hayashi to Swedish Foreign Minister BILLSTRÖM

On October 26, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Foreign Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Mr. Tobias BILLSTRÖM, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, for his appointment.
In the letter, stating that both countries will respectively hold the presidencies of the G7 and the EU next year, and conveyed his desire to work together to address common challenges of the international community,
Moreover, Foreign Minister Hayashi mentioned that Japan and Sweden have a long history of the friendship and close cooperation in a wide range of fields, Foreign Minister Hayashi expressed his intention to further strengthen the bilateral collaboration toward realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”.
