Congratulatory Letter from Prime Minister Kishida to Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Schoof
On July 2, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Mr. Dick SCHOOF, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who assumed the office of Prime Minister upon the formation of a new government in the Netherlands.
In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida expressed his intention to further develop the Japan-the Netherlands relation in cooperation with Prime Minister Schoof, acknowledging that both countries are strategic partners that share values and principles such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Prime Minister Kishida also stated that he hoped to work closely with the Netherlands toward a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific,” maintaining and strengthening an international order based on the rule of law.
