Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs IKUINA’s attendance at the National Day Reception of the Italian Republic

On June 4, 2025, Ms. IKUINA Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the National Day Reception of the Italian Republic held at the official residence of the Ambassador of Italy to Japan, and delivered her remarks on behalf of the Japanese government. The overview is as follows:
- In her remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina stated that the longstanding friendly relations between the two countries have made steady progress in a wide range of fields, including politics, economy, culture, security, and international cooperation, and that she is pleased that people-to-people exchanges have been invigorated on the occasion of Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
- In addition, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina mentioned that next year will mark the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy, and expressed her hope for further development of exchanges between the two countries.
