Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister ISHIBA to H.E. Ms. Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland

On December 30, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Ms. Kristrún FROSTADÓTTIR, on her election as Prime Minister of Iceland based on the results of the general elections held on November 30.
- In the letter, Prime Minister Ishiba congratulated Prime Minister Frostadóttir on her inauguration and expressed his desire to cooperate in a wide range of areas, including issues related to the Arctic, sustainable use of marine resources, renewable energy including geothermal power generation, and women's empowerment.
- He also expressed his intention to further deepen cooperation with Iceland in maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law, including the realization of a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific."
