State Minister Fujii is cutting tape with Prime Minister Martin and Ambassador of Ireland

On July 2, Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the Official Opening of the Ireland House Tokyo and the reception to celebrate the opening held at the Embassy of the Ireland in Tokyo, and delivered his remarks on behalf of the Japanese government. The overview is as follows.

  1. In his remarks, State Minister Fujii welcomed Prime Minister Martin's visit to Japan, extended his congratulations on the opening of Ireland House Tokyo, and stated that the relations between the two countries, partners with shared ambition, have strongly progressed across various levels and fields including economic relations.
  2. Referring to the economic relationship, cultural exchange, and high-level exchanges between the two countries, State Minister Fujii stated that 2025 is a milestone year for Japan-Ireland relations. In this context, he stated his great pleasure at the opening of Ireland House Tokyo by the Irish government, as it symbolizes a great leap forward in the bilateral relations, and that he himself hopes to work to develop Japan- Ireland relations.

A new multi-purpose facility built in Yotsuya, Tokyo. The facility houses together the Embassy, trade and tourism promotion agencies, and an event space, and will officially open on July 2, 2025.
