Japan-Finland Relations

On June 23, following the appointment of H.E. Mr. Petteri ORPO, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Orpo.

In the letter, Prime Minister KISHIDA extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Orpo and conveyed his willingness to further deepen collaboration with Finland, as a strategic partner, towards maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law. He also mentioned his hope to further develop bilateral relations in a wide range of fields, including politics, economy, and culture, and to promote further cooperation in the international arena.
