On October 5, the Japan-Spain Vice-Ministerial-level Political Consultations were held in Tokyo.

  1. Mr. ONO Keiichi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, represented Japan and Ms. Ángeles MORENO, State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs, represented Spain in the consultations. Ambassador of Spain to Japan, Mr.Fidel Sendagorta and officials from both countries also participated in the meeting.
  2. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations based on the Japan-Spain Strategic Partnership and cooperation in the international arena, including regional affairs among other issues.
