On June 22, Ms. YOSHIKAWA Yuumi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a farewell courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Väino REINART, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Japan. The overview is as follows:
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yoshikawa mentioned her visit to Estonia last October and appreciatd Ambassador’s active engagement and contribution to bilateral relations. She stated that Japan-Estonia relations had been further deepened during his tenure such as realizing frequent high-level meetings, including meetings between Head of States or Governments and Foreign Ministers.
- In response, Ambassador Reinart stated that he was pleased to have been able to work on further strengthening bilateral relations, including promoting cooperation in the digitalization and cyber areas, and people-to-people exchanges. He mentioned that he would continue to support for deepening Japan-Estonia relations in various capacities even after his leave.
