Parliamentary Vice-Minister YOSHIKAWA and Ambassador Reinart who exchange opinions after having a seat

On June 22, Ms. YOSHIKAWA Yuumi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a farewell courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Väino REINART, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Japan. The overview is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yoshikawa mentioned her visit to Estonia last October and appreciatd Ambassador’s active engagement and contribution to bilateral relations. She stated that Japan-Estonia relations had been further deepened during his tenure such as realizing frequent high-level meetings, including meetings between Head of States or Governments and Foreign Ministers.
  2. In response, Ambassador Reinart stated that he was pleased to have been able to work on further strengthening bilateral relations, including promoting cooperation in the digitalization and cyber areas, and people-to-people exchanges. He mentioned that he would continue to support for deepening Japan-Estonia relations in various capacities even after his leave.
