State Minister for Foreign Affairs YAMADA’s attendance at the Danish National Day Reception

On June 5, 2023, Mr. YAMADA Kenji, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the Danish National Day Reception, which was held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Japan, and delivered his remarks. The overview is as follows:
- State Minister Yamada noted that Japan and Denmark have steadily developed a relationship with a history of more than 150 years, based on the exchanges between Japan's Imperial Family and the Danish Royal Family, and that, as maritime nations sharing fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, and the rule of law, they have promoted cooperation in various fields based on their strategic partnership.
- Moreover, State Minister Yamada mentioned that they have challenges to tackle together as countries that share fundamental values, such as Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and he stated that he would like to work to develop friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
