Courtesy Call on Mrs. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark, by Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Fumio Kishida

On May 2, Friday, from 12:00 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, who was visiting Denmark, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark. An overview of the meeting is as follows:
- Foreign Minister Kishida and Prime Minister Thorning-Schmidt agreed to follow-up on the achievements of the recent visit to Japan by Prime Minister Thorning-Schmidt and enhance coordination in various fields such as politics, economy and culture in order to materialize the “Strategic Partnership for Growth and Innovation.”
- Moreover, both parties confirmed continuous close cooperation between Japan and Denmark for early conclusion of Japan-EU economic partnership agreement (EPA).
