On May 2, Friday, from 12:00 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, who was visiting Denmark, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark. An overview of the meeting is as follows:
  1. Foreign Minister Kishida and Prime Minister Thorning-Schmidt agreed to follow-up on the achievements of the recent visit to Japan by Prime Minister Thorning-Schmidt and enhance coordination in various fields such as politics, economy and culture in order to materialize the “Strategic Partnership for Growth and Innovation.”
  2. Moreover, both parties confirmed continuous close cooperation between Japan and Denmark for early conclusion of Japan-EU economic partnership agreement (EPA).
