　On May 6, commencing at 5:45 p.m. local time for approximately 30 minutes, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had an audience with His Majesty King Philippe, King of the Belgians, in Brussels. Prime Minister Abe said Japan and Belgium share universal values and the Imperial Family and Royal Family have a traditional relationship, and in light of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Belgium in 2016, he wants to strengthen the bilateral relationship.
