On December 2, starting at 10:00 a.m. for approximately 40 minutes, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by Mr. Andriy SADOVYI, the Mayor of Lviv.
The overview of the courtesy call is as follows;

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri welcomed the Mayor to Japan. She stated that Russia's aggression against Ukraine was an outrageous act that shaked the very foundation of the international order, and reaffirmed Japan's consistent stance that "Japan stands with Ukraine." She also expressed her expectation that future cooperation, including in the business sector, would advance with Mayor Sadovyi, who led the municipal administration of the city of Lviv, known as the "hub for reconstruction."
  2. In response, Mayor Sadovyi explained the progress of Lviv's reconstruction and expressed his hope that Japanese companies would contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
