State Minister Kunimitsu is talking with members of the Ukrainian delegation headed by Ms. Galyna MYKHAILIUK, the Co-Head of the Groups for Interparliamentary Relations

On December 14, commencing at 3:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by the Ukrainian delegation headed by Ms. Galyna MYKHAILIUK, the Co-Head of the Groups for Interparliamentary Relations with Japan.

The overview of the courtesy call is as follows:

  1. At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed the delegation to Japan. She also stated that Japan would never waver in its consistent position of standing with Ukraine. State Minister KUNIMITSU stated that Japan will take positive actions for the realization of a peace in Ukraine and continue to work to support Ukraine in coordination with the international community.
  2. State Minister KUNIMITSU expressed that Japan will continuously support Ukrainian recovery and reconstruction through joint efforts by both public and private sectors.
  3. In response, the delegation including Ms. MYKHAILIUK expressed their profound gratitude for Japan’s unwavering consistent position and the various assistance. She also briefed State Minister KUNIMITSU on the current situation in Ukraine and the various related efforts by Ukraine.
