On November 27, Mr. SHIMADA Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Romania National Day Reception hosted in Tokyo by the Embassy of Romania in Japan. The overview is as follows;

  1. H.E. Dr. Ovidiu Alexandru RAEŢCHI,Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Japan, delivered an opening address, followed by remarks from Parliamentary Vice-Minister Shimada.
  2. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Shimada offered his congratulations on Romania National Day and commended the success of the Romanian Pavilion at this year's Osaka-Kansai Expo. He also expressed his respect for the important role that the Romanian Embassy in Japan is playing in the security field this year as a NATO Contact Point Embassy.
  3. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Shimada also stated that Japanese-Romanian relations are steadly growing stronger across a wide range of fields based on their strategic partnership. He expressed that we would like to continue to advance our friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
