Meeting between Mrs. ISHIBA Yoshiko, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, and Mrs. Tamara VUČIĆ, Spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia

On September 17, commencing at 9:45 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mrs. ISHIBA Yoshiko, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, welcomed Mrs. Tamara VUČIĆ, Spouse of the President of the Republic of Serbia, who was paying a visit to Japan as an official guest of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
Mrs. Ishiba welcomed Mrs. Vučić’s visit and congratulated her on the remarkable success of the Serbian Pavilion at the Expo. She stated that she hopes the President and Mrs. Vučić's visit will further develop bilateral relations.
Mrs. Vučić expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome extended by Japan and stated that she would like to make use of the experience gained from participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai to ensure the success of the "EXPO 2027 Belgrade," which is scheduled to be held in 2027.
They also looked back on the traditional friendly relations between the two countries over the past 140 years. They conversed on a variety of topics, including traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage.
