Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI Arfiya by H.E. Dr. Aurelijus ZYKAS, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan

On December 11, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Dr. Aurelijus ZYKAS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows;
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri welcomed that many high-level visits from Lithuania to Japan had been realized this year, including those by President Nausėda and Foreign Minister Budrys. She also expressed her intention to continue working closely with Ambassador Zykas toward further strengthening bilateral relationship.
- In response, Ambassador Zykas extended his congratulations on Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri’s reappointment and expressed his intention to further advance bilateral relationship.
- The two sides also discussed the situation in Ukraine and cooperation in the field of security, and confirmed their intention to continue working closely.
