Japan-Russia Summit Telephone Talk

On Sunday, September 21, commencing at 4:05 p.m. for approximately 10 minutes, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, held a telephone talk at the suggestion from the latter. The overview is as follows.
1. President Putin congratulated Prime Minister Abe on his birthday, and Prime Minister Abe expressed his gratitude.
2. On the telephone talk the two leaders also exchanged views on Japan-Russia relations and the situation in Ukraine.
3. The two leaders shared the view that Japan and Russia will continue their dialogue.
