Japan-Bosnia and Herzegovina Relations
Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano by H.E. Mr. Mato ZEKO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Japan and Mr. IKEDA Tokihiro, Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tsukuba

On December 9th, commencing at 10:45 a.m., for approximately 35 minutes, State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Mato ZEKO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Japan and Mr. IKEDA Tokihiro, Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tsukuba. The overview of the meeting is as follows;
- State Minister KUNIMITSU explained that Japan had proactively promoted peace and stability in Bosnia and Hercegovina and supported the cooperation within the country, stating that the next year would mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. She also welcomed the initiatives by Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tsukuba which had promoted exchanges and cooperation with Japan.
- Ambassador ZEKO and Mr. IKEDA mentioned they would continuously strive to foster cultural and economic ties between the two countries, introducing the activities of Honorary Consulate in Tsukuba.
- Both sides concurred that they would continue to work closely on further strengthening their bilateral relations.
