Japan-Albania Relations
Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI Arfiya by H.E. Mr. Ermal MUÇA, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Japan

On November 24, commencing at 11:00 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Ermal MUÇA, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI expressed her welcome to Ambassador Muça. In response, Ambassador Muça extended his congratulations on Ms. ERI’s reappointment and expressed gratitude for Japan’s support including through the “Western Balkans Cooperation Initiative” and stated his desire to further promote high-level visits and to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.
- Vice-Minister ERI expressed her hope for further progress in bilateral relations with Albania, mentioning recent courtesy calls by delegations of undergraduate and graduate students and government officials from the Western Balkans as part of the “Western Balkans Cooperation Initiative.”
- Both sides confirmed that they would continue to cooperate not only in bilateral relations but also in the international arena, and to work together to promote Japan-Albania relations in various areas.
