Courtesy Call on Mr. OUE Sadamasa, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister by H.E. LONGBOTTOM CMG, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Japan

On December 10, commencing at 3:15 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. OUE Sadamasa, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, received a courtesy call by H.E. Julia LONGBOTTOM CMG, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Japan. The overview is as follows;
- At the outset, Special Advisor OUE stated that Japan and UK are an “enhanced global strategic partners” that share basic values and principles, and that the relationship is progressing in various fields based on the “Japan-UK Hiroshima Accord” announced in 2023.
- Referring to the visit of the UK’s Carrier Strike Group 25 to Japan this summer and the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), the two sides welcomed the advancement in Japan-UK security cooperation. The two sides also concurred to continue close coordination to further develop Japan-UK relations.
