Special Advisor OUE receiving a courtesy call from Ms.LE FRAPER DU HELLEN, Ambassador-Designate of the French Republic to Japan

On January 29, commencing at 2:30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. OUE Sadamasa, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, received a courtesy call by H.E. Ms. Béatrice LE FRAPER DU HELLEN, Ambassador-Designate of the French Republic to Japan. The overview is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Special Advisor OUE stated that Japan and the French Republic are an “exceptional partner” that share basic values and principles, and that the relationship is progressing in various fields based on the “Japan-France Cooperation Roadmap” announced in 2023.
  2. Recognizing that the security of the Euro-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific is inseparable, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of security such as defense exchanges and economic security, and also discussed international situation. They concurred to continue exchanging views and strengthening coordination between the two countries.
