On May 12, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the reception to celebrate Europe Day hosted by Delegation of the European Union to Japan and delivered her remarks. The overview is as follows:

State Minister KUNIMITSU stated that, referring to the updated “Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)” announced by Prime Minister Takaichi this month, Japan would like to strengthen cooperation with the EU and European countries toward its realization and also said that Japan intends to work together to overcome today’s difficulties facing the international community.
