Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, is scheduled to visit The Hague, the Kingdom of Netherlands, from June 24 to 26 to attend the NATO Summit. The Prime Minister of Japan will have attended the NATO Summit for four consecutive years since 2022, when Japan was first invited.

  1. At this Summit, Prime Minister Ishiba will reaffirm with NATO allies and others the recognition that the security of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is inseparable, and intends to further deepen future cooperation between NATO and the Indo-Pacific partners including Japan.
  2. In addition, as cooperation among like-minded countries becomes more important than ever in the current severe international situation, Prime Minister Ishida intends to hold bilateral meetings with NATO allies and the partner nations attending the NATO Summit to strengthen cooperation.
