Attendance of State Minister for Foreign Affairs Horii at the commemorative screening on the four years of the Russian aggression against Ukraine

On February 24, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended a commemorative screening held at the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, co-hosted by the Delegation and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, on the occasion marking four years since Russia's aggression against Ukraine at the Delegation of the European Union to Japan. The overview of the event is as follows.
- The film screening was attended by Ambassadors of EU Member States and media representatives. Remarks were delivered by Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Jean-Eric PAQUET, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Mr. Yurii LUTOVINOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine.
- In his remarks, Mr. Horii stated that the war needs to end as soon as possible and in a way the will of Ukrainian people is fully respected. Mr. Horii also noted that Japan will continue to provide recovery and reconstruction assistance, while responding urgent needs, including energy support.
- Mr. Horii also stated that Japan stands by Ukraine and will work together with the EU and its member States to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
