On September 3, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Mukhsinkhuja ABDURAKHMONOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI expressed her congratulations on the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day on September 1 and, mentioning her visit to Uzbekistan in May, stated her hope to further develop relations between the two countries.
  2. In response, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov made reference to the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.
  3. Both sides concurred to strengthen further cooperation in various fields, including policies, economy, and culture.
