Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano by H.E. Mr. Mukhsinkhuja ABDURAKHMONOV, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan

On November 28, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Mukhsinkhuja ABDURAKHMONOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows;
- At the outset, State Minister Kunimitsu stated that Uzbekistan is an important strategic partner for Japan in building a free and open international order based on the rule of law. She also stated that the bilateral relations between Japan and Uzbekistan have been steadily developing based on historical friendship.
- In response, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov extended his congratulations on Ms. Kunimitsu’s appointment and made remarks regarding efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations.
- The two sides also affirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in the international arena and confirmed that they would work closely together toward the early convening of the Summit of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue.
