Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI exchanging opinions with H.E. Mr. ABDURAKHMONOV, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan

On November 12, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Mukhsinkhuja ABDURAKHMONOV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri stated that Uzbekistan is an important strategic partner for Japan in building a free and open international order based on the rule of law. She expressed her intention to work closely with Ambassador Abdurakhmonov toward further deepening of bilateral relations, which have been steadily developing through active high-level exchanges and other means.
  2. In response, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov extended his congratulations on Ms. Eri’s reappointment and made remarks regarding efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations.
  3. The two sides also affirmed their intention to cooperate closely in the international arena and confirmed that they would continue to work together toward the early convening of the Summit of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue.
