On June 12, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Ata SERDAROV, Chairman of Democratic Party of Turkmenistan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri stated that Japan and Turkmenistan are mutually beneficial partners based on friendship and mutual trust. She expressed her intention to follow up on the outcomes of the visit of H.E. Mr. Serdar BERDIMUHAMEDOV, President of Turkmenistan, for the Summit of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue (CA+JAD) in December last year with a view to further developing bilateral relations.
  2. In response, Chairman Serdarov made remarks regarding efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations in various areas including exchanges between political parties.
