On June 16, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Farhod SALIM, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, State Minister Kunimitsu expressed her willingness to cooperate with Ambassador Salim in following up the outcomes of the visit of H.E. Mr. Emomali RAHMON, President of Tajikistan, for the Summit of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue (CA+JAD) in December last year with a view to further developing bilateral relations.
  2. In response, Ambassador Salim expressed gratitude for Japan's support to date, and made remarks regarding efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations.
  3. The two sides also affirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in the international arena and confirmed that they would continue to work closely together in various fields.
