Prime Minister Kishida's Visit to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia

From August 9 to 10, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, is scheduled to visit Kazakhstan to attend the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue Summit, followed by a visit to Uzbekistan from August 10 to 11, and to Mongolia from August 11 to 12.
- In Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Kishida will attend the first ever summit meeting of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue, which was pioneered by Japan in 2004 and marks its 20th anniversary this year. He intends to further deepen the partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation that has been built up to date.
- Prime Minister Kishida also intends to take this opportunity to hold bilateral summit meetings with Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan where he will visit, to discuss bilateral matters and cooperation in the international arena, and to affirm the strengthening of bilateral relations in a wide range of fields.
- In Mongolia, through the summit meetings, Prime Minister Kishida intends to further deepen bilateral relations by confirming progress in multi-layered cooperation based on the “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity”.
