Japan-Kazakhstan Relations

On August 25, commencing at 6:00 p.m. (10:00 p.m. on August 25, Japan time) for approximately one hour and forty minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his visit to Kazakhstan, held a working dinner with H.E. Mr. Murat NURTLEU, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The overview is as follows :

  1. At the outset, Minister Nurtleu welcomed Miniser IWAYA’s visit to Kazakhstan, and Minister Iwaya then expressing his gratitude for Kazakhstan’s hospitality, he stated his willingness to cooperate closely in responding to international situations and global issues.
  2. The Ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues such as the situation in Russia and Ukraine as well as the situation in East Asia and Middle East.
  3. The Ministers concurred on taking advantage of an opportunity of the Minister’s visit to continue to further develop bilateral relations.
