On Feburary 27, Ms. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Erkinbek OSOEV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, State Minister Kunimitsu stated that Kyrgyz Republic is a comprehensive partner for Japan in maintaining and strenghning a free and open international order based on the rule of law. Furthermore, State Minister Kunimitsu expressed her willingness to cooperate with Ambassador Osoev in following up the outcomes of the visit of the H.E. Mr. Sadyr ZHAPAROV, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, for the Summit of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue (CA+JAD) as well as those of the bilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Deceber last year with a view to further developing bilateral relations.
  2. In response, Ambassador Osoev extended his congratulations on Ms. Kunimitsu’s appointment, and made remarks regarding efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations.
  3. The two sides also affirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in the international arena and confirmed that would continue to work closely together in various fields.
