On February 21, commencing at 4:15 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. TSUJI Kiyoto, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Erkinbek OSOEV, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.

  1. State Minister Tsuji stated that he is pleased that the Official Visit of His Excellency President Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan in November last year was a success and expressed gratitude for the condolences received from the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
  2. State Minister Tsuji also mentioned that the bilateral relationship has developed into a comprehensive partnership after the Official Visit of President Zhaparov to Japan, and Japan would like to do follow-ups of the discussions at the summit meeting and steadily promote cooperation in various fields. In response, after congratulating the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor, Ambassador Osoev expressed his gratitude to the Japanese side for efforts in making President Zhaparov's Official Visit to Japan a success and his hope for further cooperation with Japan in a wide range of fields in the future.
  3. Both sides also concurred to work toward expanding bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.
