On November 18, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Teimuraz LEZHAVA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri expressed her pleasure that Japan and Georgia have long fostered people-to-people exchanges across a wide range of fields, including politics, economy and culture, thereby strengthening the friendly relationship between the two countries.
  2. Ambassador Lezhava congratulated on Parliamentary Vice-Minister Eri’s reappointment and expressed his gratitude for Japan's cooperation thus far. He also explained the recent situation in Georgia.
  3. The two sides also discussed regional affairs and cooperation in the international arena and concurred on continuing to cooperate in various fields, including economy and people-to-people exchanges.
