Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Shimada's Attendance at the Opening Ceremony of "Georgia Festival 2026"

On June 13, Mr. SHIMADA Tomoaki, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the opening ceremony of "Georgia Festival 2026" held at Yoyogi Park and delivered remarks on behalf of the Government of Japan.
- In his remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister SHIMADA welcomed the growing opportunities in Japan to experience Georgian food culture, including Georgian cuisine and Georgian wine.
- Parliamentary Vice-Minister Shimada also expressed his hope that bilateral exchanges in a wide range of fields would become even more active toward the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Georgia in 2027.
- The festival featured Georgian dances and folk songs. The venue was filled with booths offering Georgian cuisine and wine, as well as booths for product sales, attracting many visitors.
