Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice Minister MATSUMOTO by H.E. Mr. Gursel ISMAYILZADA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan

On February 25, Mr. MATSUMOTO Hisashi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Gursel ISMAYILZADA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:
- Parliamentary Vice Minister Matsumoto expressed his condolences to the victims of the Azerbaijan Airline’s plane crash that occurred at the end of last year and also offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
- Parliamentary Vice Minister Matsumoto also referred to the importance of people-to-people exchanges and human resource development through training programs, and expressed expectations for Azerbaijan's participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
- Ambassador Ismayilzada highlighted the friendship that the two countries have built up over the years and expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields such as inter-community exchanges.
- They discussed strengthening bilateral economic relations, the situation in the Caucasus region and cooperation in the international arenas.
