Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. FUJII Hisayuki by H.E. Ms. Monika SIMONYAN, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Armenia to Japan

On July 14, commencing at 5:05 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Monika SIMONYAN, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Armenia to Japan. The overview is as follows.
- State Minister Fujii welcomed Ambassador-Designate Simonyan, along with the progress of the Tax Convention between Japan and Armenia and the opening of Armenia’s renowned “TUMO Center,” a digital human resources development facility, in Gunma Prefecture under the name “TUMO Gunma.” He expressed his hopes for the success of Armenia's National Day at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
- State Minister Fujii also stated his hope that the peace treaty agreed upon by Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be signed soon, and that the issues in the region would be resolved peacefully and permanently.
- Ambassador Simonyan expressed her gratitude for Japan’s support, and stated her determination to make efforts in further strengthening bilateral relations in fields such as politics, economy, and culture.
- The two sides shared the view that they will continue to develop friendly relations between the two countries, taking advantage of the opportunities presented by high-level visits such as the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
