  1. The Second Intergovernmental Consultation on Cooperation between Japan and the Republic of Slovenia in the field of Science and Technology was held on 24 October 2017 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.
  2. This Consultation was co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Takeshi Nakane, Ambassador for Science and Technology Cooperation from the Japanese side, and Mr. Tit Neubauer, Head of the International Cooperation and EU Office, Ministry of Education, Science and Sports from the Slovenian side. This Consultation was attended by officials and members from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries including Cabinet Office (CAO), Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Slovenia’s Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, Slovenian Research Agency and Embassy of Slovenia in Japan.
  3. Both sides explained their current policies in science, technology and innovation, and exchanged their views on robotics and nanotechnology, high energy accelerator research and social engagement with science and technology.
