1. On September 22 Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent Her Excellency Ms. Ewa Kopacz, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, a congratulatory message in which he extended his congratulations on her new appointment as Prime Minister on the same day.

2. In his message to Prime Minister Kopacz, Prime Minister Abe congratulated her on her appointment, along with stating that Poland is performing an important role in the international community as “the leading country of Central and Eastern Europe,” shares fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law with Japan, and is an extremely important partner for responding jointly to global challenges. He said he is looking forward to cooperating closely with Prime Minister Kopacz.
