State Minister for Foreign Affairs YAMADA’s attendance at the National Day Reception of Kosovo

On 17 February, State Minister for Foreign Affairs YAMADA Kenji attended the National Day Reception that celebrates the 15th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence. The summary of the event is as follows.
- At the beginning of the reception, State Minister Yamada, on behalf of the Government of Japan, expressed his congratulations on the 15th anniversary of Kosovo's independence.
- Referring to President Osmani's visit to Japan in 2021 as well as the visit of Prime Minister Kurti in 2022, State Minister Yamada welcomed the steady development of friendly relations between Japan and Kosovo over the past 15 years, mentioning that active high-level dialogue has been achieved even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
- He stated that, in his capacity as State Minister of Foreign Affairs, he would like to contribute to the expansion of friendship between the two countries in a wide range of fields, including the politics, economy, culture, education and sports, towards the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kosovo in 2024.
