Meeting between Mrs. Akie Abe and Ms. Anikó Lévai, spouse of Prime Minister of Hungary

On November 21, Mrs. Akie Abe, wife of the Prime Minister of Japan, held talks with Ms. Anikó Lévai, spouse of Prime Minister of Hungary.
Two ladies talked in friendly atmosphere. Mrs. Abe and Ms. Lévai talked about agriculture in Japan and Hungary in which both ladies have interests. Ms. Lévai introduced the facility for schoolchild care built in Otsuchi town, Iwate prefecture with the assistance of Hungary after the Great East Japan Earthquake and said that products of Japanese companies were popular in Hungary.
Mrs. Abe said that she was impressed with Hungarian cuisine and Ms. Lévai replied by expressing her wish to make a report about Japanese food for the cooking magazine that Ms. Lévai herself is the editor in chief.
Hungary is Pro-Japanese country and Japanese students learning medicine and music in Hungary are increasing every year. Exchanges between the sister cities are also active.
During her visit to Japan, Ms. Lévai experienced traditional Japanese culture and visited, for example, a farm. Her visit to Japan was a great opportunity to further deepening the friendship between Japan and Hungary.
