Meeting between Mrs. KISHIDA Yuko, the Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Elke BÜDENBENDER, the Spouse of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany

On November 1st, commencing at 6:55 p.m. for approximately 45 minutes, Mrs. KISHIDA Yuko, the Spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, had a meeting with Mrs. Elke BÜDENBENDER, Spouse of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, who is visiting Japan.
- Mrs. Kishida welcomed Mrs. Büdenbender’s visit to Japan and expressed her hope that the President Steinmeier and Mrs. Büdenbender's visit would be an opportunity to further deepen the friendship between the two countries, which has lasted for more than 160 years. Mrs. Büdenbender expressed her pleasure at the long history of friendship between Japan and Germany and her wish to cooperate for further development of friendly relations between the two countries
- They also exchanged views on cultural exchanges between Japan and Germany, women’s empowerment and social inclusion.
