H.E. Mr. Ignazio CASSIS, President and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, will pay a visit to Japan from 18 April to 23 April 2022.

  1. On this occasion, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a meeting with President Cassis and Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will hold a meeting and a working dinner with President Cassis.
  2. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President and hopes the visit will further strengthen the collaboration between Japan and the Swiss Confederation, an important partner sharing fundamental values.

  • (1) This will be H.E. Mr. Ignazio Cassis’s first visit to Japan.
  • (2) This will be the first meeting between President Cassis and Prime Minister Kishida and Minister Hayashi.
