President of the Republic of Austria to Visit Japan

H.E. Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, Federal President of the Republic of Austria, will visit Japan from May 21 to May 25 to attend Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
- During his stay in Japan, President Van der Bellen will pay a State Call on His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a summit meeting with the President.
- The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of President Van der Bellen and hopes the visit will further strengthen good bilateral relations with Austria, which is a partner sharing values and principles.

This will be his second visit to Japan as President, following on from his 2019 visit to attend the Ceremony of the Enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor.
