From May 1 to 6, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, is scheduled to visit France, Brazil and Paraguay.

  1. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Japan's accession to the OECD, and Prime Minister Kishida will attend the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting in France, which Japan is chairing, to lead the discussions on solutions to various economic and social issues, facing the international community. He will also hold the summit meeting with France to exchange views on bilateral relations and international affairs.
  2. Prime Minister Kishida will also make his first visit to the Latin American countries of Brazil and Paraguay since he assumed office and hold meetings with the leaders of both countries to confirm further strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation in the international arena. In addition, in Brazil, Prime Minister Kishida will deliver a speech on Japan’s foreign policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean for the first time in ten years as the Prime Minister of Japan.
