On December 3, for about 15 minutes from 7:10 p.m., Prime Minister IHIBA Shigeru received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Børge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum. The overview is as follows.
- Prime Minister Ishiba stated that the World Economic Forum has been actively leading discussions on solutions to issues facing the international community. He also stated that Japan intends to lead international discussions in various fields through strengthening cooperation among relevant stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, and expressed his intention to continue its cooperative relationship with the Forum.
- H.E. Mr. Brende spoke highly of the long-standing cooperation between Japan and Forum and expressed his expectations for Japan’s role in the growing importance of international cooperation.
