Prime Minister Kishida’s Visit to the United States of America

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will visit San Francisco, U.S. from November 15th to 19th to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and other events.
- Prime Minister Kishida will attend the APEC Leaders' Meeting and actively lead discussions on key issues such as supply chain resilience, digital technology, and climate change countermeasures, in addition to promoting free and open trade and investment. Moreover, as he did last year, he will continue to clearly communicate Japan's position on Russia's aggression against Ukraine bearing in mind that Russia is a member of the APEC.
- Furthermore, Prime Minister Kishida is scheduled to attend the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Leaders' Meeting to be hosted by U.S. President Biden on November 16, where he will communicate Japan's position on achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region.
- He will also visit Stanford University to attend a discussion on advanced science and technology with President Yoon from the Republic of Korea, and meet with Google Inc. and the Semiconductor Industry Association.
