Meeting with directors of the JSPS London Research Liaison
Study session in the University of Cambridge
  1. March 28th, 2025, Dr. Kotani Motoko, Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, visited London and Cambridge, UK to meet with the current and incoming directors of the JSPS London Research Liaison Center and to participate in a study session in Cambridge organized by the Science and Technology Fellows of the Embassy of Japan in the UK to develop young Japanese Principal Investigators (PIs) in the life sciences into world leaders.
  2. At the study session, Dr. Kotani gave a lecture on "Japan's Science and Technology Policy and Diplomacy and Expectations for Japanese Researchers Working Abroad" to a group of leading Japanese researchers in the life sciences from the University of Cambridge and other institutions and exchanged views on issues related to strengthening Japan's science and technology capabilities and ways to increase the number of young Japanese researchers taking up the challenge of working in the UK.
