Science and Technology

On July 1, Dr. KOTANI Motoko, Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, visited Brussels and participated in the Science Roundtable talk hosted by the Mission of Japan to the EU, among officials from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Delegations from the EU Member States, and Liaison Offices of science and technology institutions.

Dr. KOTANI outlined Japan's current science technology and innovation policy and S&T diplomacy efforts, followed by active Q&A and discussions. Participants shared policy agendas relevant to Japan and Europe and confirmed the importance of building S&T cooperation networks.
