- Mr. Ryuji Yamane, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to participate in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Ministerial Council Meeting and the WTO (World Trade Organization) Informal Ministerial Meeting to be held in Paris and to visit Russia (Moscow) subsequently from Tuesday, May 22 to Sunday, May 27.
- At the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting, as its main theme "All on Board: Policies for inclusive growth and jobs", with the participation of delegates from emerging counties, discussions will be held on policy for growth and employment, development issues, trade and so on, in relation to growth in the global economy moving forward.
- At the WTO Informal Ministerial Meeting hosted by Australia, delegates from major countries, including developing countries, will join together to discuss how to proceed forward with Doha Round negotiations and other issues.
- In Russia (Moscow), Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister Yamane will hold meetings with government officials of Russia and others to exchange views on international situations and bilateral relations.
